Learning from the second wave…!

Did you learn from the ongoing second wave in India?

If you haven’t, let me give you some food for thought. First I would like to draw your attention to the eight wonders of the world. The second wave in India showed the compounding effects starting this month i.e. just 3 weeks back. We focus on things only after they become magnificent. By the way, it is easy to say this looking from hindsight. When things are small, the chains are easily broken but we easily ignore them. It’s a human trait just as we want to be quick as a rabbit not slow as a turtle.

It is not easy to start small and continue that for a long time. Each one of us wants a big victory but without the compounding effects, it is a bit difficult. Overnight success is possible only after working a decade. Exponential growth is a powerful energy.

The second learning is that people are inclined to do what’s easy. Putting on a mask isn’t an easy task. That’s why the government has to put fines. How can we make it easier for us? We still don’t have the answer to that. It’s a billion-dollar question. Probably that’s why people prefer corruption/lobbying instead of going through the whole process as it will be burdensome and not easy too. We prefer to do the thing which is easy, not right. That’s how the brain works usually.

What’s your learning?
