After writing yesterday’s article on smoking, it gave me a newer perspective on searching the product reviews. From sellers perspective, the positive reviews must be at the top of the google search as that helps in selling the product. Most of us only read the first few links of the and make the decision to purchase.

Do you think sellers and the e-commerce platforms are clever?

Obviously, they must be. They leverage influencer and digital marketing to broadcast the positive reviews at top. Would you ever see a side effect of the soap on an advertisement? Here you can check, the kind of soap suits our body. For instance, if Amazon or Flipkart shows the bad reviews at the top, you won’t be willing to buy the product. A huge loss to them. Hence, why should they show bad reviews at the top?

How can buyers gather more data points around bad reviews?

The google search runs on the keywords we are searching for. How about intentionally searching the negative reviews. It helps in knowing the worst case scenario of the product. That’s how I was able to come up with the healthy benefits of 🚬

It’s hard to think the other way with an open mindset. But once you develop the thinking pattern, it will be easy…
