Recently Jio’s parent company, Reliance hiked the prices of polyethylene and other plastic raw materials. So what? How does polyethylene affect us? Do we use polyethylene in our day to day life? Let’s explore..

Before we proceed further, let’s discussion first what’s polyethylene. Scratching chemistry books this time :D. Polyethylene and it’s variants are the most common plastic in use today. It is a polymer, primarily used for packaging. As we move ahead in digital ife we need more packaging…

Let’s see how it affects our day to day life. Items made from this polymer include containers for milk, motor oil, shampoos and conditioners, carbonated drink bottles, soap bottles, detergents, and bleaches. Further toys, polythene bags, plastic bags, plastic films, geomembranes, containers and any plastic material you use including brush. Even the farmers have been using them in the form of plastic films..

That’s how Reliance has been ruling each and every product we use including the smart device in your hand :) Any product you use, most of them are build from one form or the other form of this plastic.

Now a spike in the price of such a raw material may result in the spike of other products we use in our day to day life. Ultimately contributing more to consumer’s pocket..

Until then..

Know more about the things you use in your day to day life!
