I have been speaking with the new members of our habit community to help them gear up to form lifelong habits. Most of the common responses I have been receiving are lack of time. It’s interesting as we keep procrastinating on many important things like exercise, thinking we have ample amount of time whereas at the same time we have a scarcity of time. Time is a scarce resource, we need to keep reminding ourselves that only a few minutes are left in this hour. Time is the only thing that can’t be regained even friendship, money, respect, fame, and more can be regained.

There are multiple ways to perceive things. Mostly we are excuse-oriented or solution-oriented. For the things we have already made up our minds, we become solution-oriented. We simply figure out a way to get it done. On the other hand, our monkey mind figures out an easy excuse. The easiest person to fool on this planet earth is oneself.

Next, when a second person assists you, things become more interesting as I won’t view the things through your lens 😅. A new perspective changes the whole dynamics and the mindset. Mindset is one of the most important mind tools. It’s all begins in the mind first. You first win the war in the mind then in the real world. Developing a habit is a war between your existing habit and the new one you want to develop. Without a proper strategy, one may end up on the undesirable side.

Congratulation to the new members on getting started 🙌

Cheers to the existing cohort members for continuing the Tiny Project for 19 days!
